verrucaA verruca is a wart on the sole of your foot caused by the Human Papilloma Virus. This virus thrives in warm, moist environments. They are common in sporty people and young children. Generally verruca disappear within two years, but this isn’t always the case. Sometimes they become uncomfortable and require treatment.

Treatment of verruca often involves debridement (removal of the overlying hard skin,) cryotherapy (freezing) and the use of an acid.

Verruca can be very stubborn and require multiple treatments.
